German investment group Chorus has connected two photovoltaic (PV) plants with a combined capacity of 9.5MWp to the grid in Italy.

Chorus acquired the projects from solarhybrid, which constructed the facilities. Chorus also secured finance through a commercial lender for the development of these sites.

Thomas Laumont, CEO of Chorus, said, 'The success of these two projects, currently the biggest photovoltaic plants in Piemont, enables us to offer our investors high-yield investments in a very attractive market.'

Last month, solarhybrid announced plans to build a 150MWp solar plant in Brandenburg, Germany.
