UK clean energy developer Farm Power has completed a 305kW photovoltaic (PV) system near the south coast of England in Dorset. The 1,100 panel system is located at Slepe Farm, near Poole, and was connected to the grid just 100 days after receiving planning consent from Purbeck District Council. The facility was constructed by energy efficiency solutions company Anesco.

Mark Simon, managing director of Farm Power, said, 'At Slepe Farm, we have had outstanding partners in our tirelessly supportive landlord, Mr Selby Bennett; our calm and efficient contractor, Anesco, and the local network operator, Scottish & Southern Energy. Thanks to them, Farm Power has delivered this project in record time, to budget and while managing all the complex risks associated with renewables. We are very proud that the commissioning of our anchor site at Slepe Farm has been such a success.'

Adrian Pike, CEO of Anesco, added, 'We're delighted the scheme at Slepe Farm has now come online. This was a large and important project for us, and really cements our position as one of the leading installers of large scale solar PV projects in the UK.'
