Global-focused solar module developer Innotech Solar has secured a NOK45m (€5.72m) contract to supply photovoltaic (PV) modules and engineering services to an undisclosed European utility company for a power plant in Spain.

The Norwegian solar developer is designated to develop and manage the 4.3MW rooftop solar project located near Grenada on behalf of the non-disclosed partner, a repeat customer.
Innotech said it will deliver more than 20,000 PV modules between now and September to the plant, which is expected to produce close to 6GWh of power each year.
‘The customer is increasing their solar activities, has previous experienced energy production from Innotech’s modules and systems, and has again selected us as supplier,’ says Thor Tuv, CEO of Innotech Solar.
The contract represents Innotech’s first major contract since it agreed to buy a 33 per cent stake in REC Solar’s module production facility in Sweden at the start of the year in partnership with Perfekta Solar.
At the time of the acquisition the company said it would launch new competitively-priced solar modules midway through the year, as it strives to achieve increased efficiency and integration within the solar supply chain through continued quality management and optimisation.
