Wind component supplier LM Wind Power Group has teamed with Eolice Participacoes e Investimentos to build a new blade factory in Brazil.
The pair will invest $54.1m in the plant, according to a report in Bloomberg, as they look to meet rising demand in the country.
It will be located in the north-east state of Pernambuco and aims to boost the domestic manufacturing activity in the area.
LM Wind Power has been active pushing into new markets over 2011 and earlier in the year formed an alliance with Alstom to build the world's largest blades for us in the offshore wind sector.
