Danotek, a power conversion specialist working in the wind energy sector, has named Ramon Guitart as vice president of engineering.
Guitart will oversee the engineering staff responsible for the development of generators, motors, and power electronics.
The company said he will leverage his experience to extend its reach in the wind and electric transport sectors and other renewable energy markets.
'[Guitart's] considerable experience in product design and development of rotating machinery, particularly permanent magnet generators, will prove invaluable to Danotek's growth,' said Don Naab, CEO of Danotek. 'He will be instrumental in ensuring our products and services continue to exceed the expectations of our growing client base worldwide.'
Guitart joins Danotek from Converteam where he was director of engineering for North America.
