Revenues down for wind turbine manufacturer REpower

Wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems generated a total performance of €1.28bn and recorded revenues of €1.23bn for fiscal year 2010/11, according to its preliminary results.

The figures correspond to a decline of 4.1 per cent and 6.7 per cent respectively compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the company. The result from operating activities (EBIT) stood at €86m and was 12.5 per cent lower than the previous year’s figure amounting to €98.3m.
The order volume as per balance sheet date developed positively rising by around 20 per cent from €2.12bn to €2.55bn. The order backlog increased from 1,768MW to 2,259MW.
In the reporting period REpower installed or supplied wind turbines with a total capacity of 851MW which was only slightly below the previous year’s level (863MW).
