Germany-based solar thermal company Solar Millennium said it plans to file a court action against its former CEO Utz Claassen following unsuccessful negotiations to recoup a €9m signing fee.
The company is expected to file a complaint to the regional court in Nürnberg-Fürth imminently.
The filing follows Claassen’s resignation from his position as CEO after less than three months in the role.
Solar Millennium’s board said it considered the settlement negotiations it started midway through last year to have failed.
‘Since December we have been going round in circles,’ said Helmut Pflaumer, chairman of Solar Millennium’s supervisory board.
Court hearings on the case were due to take place late this month, but have been postponed following a motion by Claassen. The hearing has now been pushed back until September.
