Nasdaq-listed clean technology manufacturer CleanTech Innovations has won a $4.4m contract to supply wind towers to a subsidiary of China Guodian, Asia’s largest wind power operator.
The clean energy manufacturer said it expects to gain further wind tower supply contracts this year, anticipating that 2011 will be a year of record earnings growth.
China Guodian is a strong customer for CleanTech Innovation to bag, with assets of $68.5bn in mid-2010. This latest supply contract represents close to 20 per cent of the manufacturer’s revenues for the whole of 2010.
CleanTech provides wind turbine towers, expansion joints and pressure vessels to China Guodian, HuaNeng Energy, Sinosteel and other industrial companies.
CleanTech Innovations CEO Bei Lu said, ‘CleanTech is in a strong financial position to continue to bid on new contract opportunities and anticipates winning additional wind tower supply contracts throughout 2011. We look forward to delivering a year of record earnings growth in 2011 for our shareholders.’
