Ascent Solar Technologies has increased its efforts to shore up its distribution chain by forming the second deal in February, this time with SW Solarwatt that will cater to the Greek and Cypriot markets.
Earlier this week the Nasdaq-listed company inked a similar agreement with Singapore-based photovoltaic installer Polymeur Sun to deepen its penetration of emerging solar markets in Asia.
The most recent agreement with SW Solarwatt will boost Ascent Solar’s presence within the Eastern Mediterranean’s developing solar market.
Farhad Moghadam, CEO and president of Ascent Solar, said, ‘This relationship will enable integration of Ascent Solar’s flexible, lightweight CIGS modules in a variety of applications, from grid-connected rooftop installations to portable power and other off-grid stand alone solutions. We look forward to working with our new partners in the growing Eastern Mediterranean market.’
SW Solarwatt designs and installs solar arrays throughout Cyprus and Greece, and specialise in grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic systems for both residential and commercial applications.
