German solar company Solon has delivered crystalline modules for a roof-mounted solar project in Tuscany, Italy.

The installation is the first large-scale power plant with an adhesive photovoltaic system based on crystalline modules.
The 4MWp project was specifically designed for installation on industrial metal roofs and the technology created, the SOLbond, will now be used exclusively at the site by BioEnergon.
The plant will be complete at the end of April, with the system approved for all snow and wind load zones.
Adhesive assembly is much quicker than fixed installations due to its simplicity and can shorten the build time of a project.
