Bosch has gained control of its solar subsidiary ersol Thin Film, acquiring the minority stakes held by Ventizz Capital Fund III and Ventizz Capital Fund IV.

Now with Bosch in majority ownership, the company will continue under the new branding of Bosch Solar Thin Film.
The two Ventizz funds have divested their minority interest in the company after originally investing in it during 2008 as part of a growth financing effort, and later exercising options on their interest.
Robert Bosch has now acquired 49.9 per cent aggregate interest in the company from the funds in a transaction that represented the first exit for both Ventizz funds.
Ventizz Capital Partners, which has €675m under management, was established in 2000 with offices in St Gallen, Düsseldorf, Vienna and Zurich.
The Ventizz Capital Fund IV closed €450m in late 2007, making one of the largest private equity growth capital funds in Europe.
