US-based solar integrator Sunvalley Solar has inked a $1.37m contract with Aqua Farming Tech that will see it install solar panels in a project in Thermal city, California.
The company is to integrate 3,140 solar panels from Tianwei Solarfilms together with four solar inverters of varying rating from PV Powered, within the next few months.
It said the contract is supported by $646,000 in solar rebates from the local utility company and $405,000 in federal tax cash grants.
The solar system is expected to generate 506kWh of electricity annually, earning credits from Impreial Irrigation District Utility for surplus power generated in the summer months.
