Iberdrola Renewables launches Rugby wind power project

Renewable energy developer Iberdrola Renewables has launched its Rugby wind power project located in Pierce County, in the US state of North Dakota. It comprises 71 wind turbines and will generate 149MW of energy for the region.

The company develops, constructs, and operates power plants that use renewable energy sources. It currently focused on wind energy and on smaller hydroelectric power stations.
Iberdrola Renewables is a part of Iberdrola Renovables global group, the world’s largest provider of wind power. It operates more than 11,000MW of renewable energy around the world.
In addition to launching a wind farm in Missouri in June 2010, the company recently began construction at its newest wind farm project in New York which will provide 74MW of clean energy to the surrounding areas.
