Multicrystalline solar wafer manufacturer LDK Solar has raised its third quarter shipment and revenue guidance for the third quarter of the year after it met manufacturing capacity targets at the end of last month.
Towards the end of last month the company also secured $8.9bn in credit facilities from state-owned China Development Bank, which will be made available over the next five years.
Whereas the company had expected to ship up to 550MW of solar wafers over the quarter, it now expects the figure to reach up to 570MW.
It has also pushed its solar module shipment guidance, which fell between 75MW and 85MW, up to between 80MW and 90MW for the quarter.
The company has increased its revenue guidance for the third quarter of 2010 to a range of between $610m and $640m, above its previous outlook of between $570m and $600m.
At the end of September 2010, LDK Solar`s manufacturing capacity reached a level of 11,000 mega tonnes of polysilicon, 2.6GW of wafers, 120MW of solar cells, and 760MW of solar modules as previously planned, the company said.
At the end of the third quarter its cash balances including pledged bank deposits stand at approximately $800m, LDK estimates.
LDK Solar has an additional California office in addition to its headquarters and manufacturing facilities in China’s Jiangxi Province.
