Integrated French solar company Solairedirect has raised €80m for the further development of its solar projects in France and abroad. The company also claims that they have reduced the production cost (levelised cost of electricity) to an unprecedented €0.154/KWh produced.

The funds were raised with the help of Lazard Bank, Natixis Lease, Oseo, Credit Agricole Group, and 123 Venture. The debt and equity financing will allow for the build of three solar parks set for the south eastern region of France.
Solairedirect is also the owner of the largest Solar park in France, called Les Mées which has recently been commissioned and has a 24MW capacity. This has been heralded as a global show case for solar power projects.
Solairedirect  is active outside of France and has responded to an ‘Expression of Interest’ from the Moroccan Government concerning the setting up of a subsidiary and partnering with Schneider Electric. The company also has projects in South Africa and India.
