The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) could invest up to €1bn ($1.3bn) in Turkey's renewable energy and agribusiness sectors next year.
EBRD president Suma Chakrabarti said that he expects plenty of growth and demand for finance in the renewable sector in the near future.
He said 'We're pretty confident we'll spend at least another billion (euros) here next year ... I'll be surprised and upset if we didn't manage that.
'There's demand beyond a billion a year, the pipeline is strong and growing, but we are only a few years into our relations.'
