US wind and solar project developer Pioneer Green Energy has secured $11m from an undisclosed investor to support the construction of wind farms across the US.
The deal brings the company's total capital raised to $20m and it said this will fully fund the build of its current wind energy pipeline.
Andy Bowman, head of Pioneer Green Energy, said, 'The $11m financing is a strong testament to our team, our focused approach to markets and the development portfolio that we have assembled. The country needs more inexpensive renewable energy, and we are fortunate to be working with investors that see the opportunity for growth in renewable energy, perhaps even surprising growth, over the next two to three years. We are excited to have the funding now to bring these projects to the market.'
