Germany-based solarhybrid will develop a 150MWp solar power plant in Brandenburg as part of a series of installations at former military airports.
It has completed eight projects with a total capacity of 218MWp on former airports in 2010 and 2011 and the new 150MWp facility will be the largest to date.
Airport Development operates the Magdeburg-Cochstedt Airport in Saxony-Anhalt and has entered into a partnership with solarhybrid for the second time following the successfully completed Fürstenwalde project.
Solarhybrid said the site should be ready for construction by the end of July 2012 and that connection to the grid will take place in December 2012.
