Chinese photovoltaic (PV) supplier ET Solar provided 2.56MW of panels for a greenhouse project in France that was developed by Classic Energy and Tritec.
The transparent and frameless mono-crystalline modules were introduced to the market earlier this month and were installed on the rooftops of an agricultural greenhouse that is now grid-connected. The development is located in Cruas, around 100 miles north of Marsalles.
Alexander Schumann, technical director of the project, said, 'ET Solar has demonstrated to be a trusted partner with bankable module products, value-added services and robust sales and engineering support that have contributed greatly to the timely completion of this project.'
Dennis She, president and CEO of ET Solar, added, 'We are very pleased to be the exclusive module supplier to the greenhouse project that represents an increasingly exciting market segment. The experience that we acquired from the transaction will clearly strengthen our ability to be a more significant contributor to the growing French PV market.'
Last week, ET Solar completed a 5MW facility in Germany and at the start of the month secured a $1.27bn credit line from the China CITIC Bank.
