Chinese solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer JinkoSolar has won a contract to supply panels for a 5MW facility to be constructed in the UK.
The deal follows the company being chosen as preferred supplier for projects being developed by a joint venture between cleantech companies AEE Renewables and EPC Graess Solartechnik.
The partnership had used JinkoSolar modules on a 4MW installation at Beechgrove Farm in Devon and a 5MW array near Swindon, both of which were completed in October. The latest order is for a project that will be finalised at the start of next year.
Dominic Faber, CIO for AEE Renewables, said, 'We are very pleased with JinkoSolar's professionalism and the quality of the products they deliver. JinkoSolar's service is first-rate, customising its offerings to fit our needs and standing out from the competition. JinkoSolar's commitment to staying at the forefront of providing cleaner energy makes the organisation a perfect partner for our company.'
Arturo Herrero, chief marketing officer for JinkoSolar, added, 'We place a high value on the quality of the products we deliver, as well as that of our customer service, which is evident through our many satisfied customers around the world. These initial projects in the UK are only the beginning of a fruitful relationship with both AEE Renewables and EPC Graess Solartechnik.'
Earlier this month JinkoSolar revised down its revenue and shipping forecast for the year.
