European wind turbine producer Nordex has won a further four orders in Pakistan, cementing the company's position in the country.
These contracts are set to cover five projects with a total of 20 turbines each, and together will provide 250MW to the Pakistan grid.
Nordex has identified Pakistan as a key growth market, with the government and a number of commercial enterprises planning substantial increases to Pakistan's power generation capacity with wind power energy set to play a key role.
The government estimates the exploitable wind power potential in Sindh Province in the south of the country to be some 11GW alone.
This province is also the location of where two of the four projects Nordex has won will be located.
Nordex has been embarking on an international expansion this year and has also targeted Romania, Poland and Bulgaria as growth markets.
