US utility and commercial solar park developer Solar Park Initiatives is expanding its business model to include different renewable technologies for commercial solar projects and adding a strategic office in North Carolina to spearhead sales under its new renewable technology sales programme.
Recently appointed board director, Solar Park Initiatives’ CEO David Surette, outlined a new renewable technology programme targeting commercial renewable energy projects in North Carolina and Tennessee Valley.
It plans to establish a sales office in Research Triangle Park in North Carolina to lead this new initiative, which will focus on concentrated photovoltaics, biomass, wind power and micro-inverter technologies.
The company said it is adopting this diversification strategy in order to increase its production levels.
Surette said, ‘By using the correct technologies for renewable energy projects it will provide the most benefit to commercial users in those territories.
‘As the push from Federal and State governments for more clean energy increases, we will be ready to move forward to seize the opportunities as they become more numerous.’
He added that the company will continue to grow its pipeline of solar park projects in regions such as California and Ontario.
