NEW DELHI - Officials from more than 50 countries are meeting in India to discuss how to fund and share clean technologies to help poor nations cope with climate change and limit greenhouse gas emissions.

The conference ending Wednesday is the last major meeting before a crucial U.N. climate summit opening Nov. 29 in Cancun, Mexico.
Delegates are debating how poor nations can acquire emissions-cutting technology — a key pillar of a climate change agreement sought in Cancun.
Indian Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh says the priority should be in helping poor nations adapt to the affects of warmer temperatures — by sharing technologies for water, health and agriculture — and that more divisive talks on emissions-cutting technologies should left for future debate.
Rich nations argue that reducing patent protection would jeopardize innovation.
