Acciona Energy, a developer and manager of renewables projects, has started construction on its third wind park in India.
Named the Tuppadahalli facility, the wind park’s 34 turbines will produce 56MW of output. The project will require an investment of €58m and will increase the company’s wind power capacity in India to 86MW.
Tuppadahalli joins Acciona’s other wind parks named Arasinagundi, with an output of 13MW, and Anabaru, which produces 17MW, both built in 2008.
Acciona Energy is the energy division of Acciona, a group specialising in infrastructures and services aimed at sustainable development and social well-being.
The wind park is expected to be completed and fully operational by 2011.
